Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz Return to Universal's The Mummy in 2028 (2026)

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are set to return to the iconic Mummy franchise, with the next installment hitting theaters in early summer 2028. The duo, who previously starred in the first three Mummy films, will be joined by Radio Silence directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, as well as screenwriter David Coggeshall. The film, which is set for May 19, 2028, will be produced by Sean Daniel, who has a successful history with the Mummy series, and will be a box office hit. William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein will produce the film through Project X Entertainment, while Fraser, Jason F. Brown, and Denis Stewart will executive produce. Universal's EVP Production Development Jay Polidoro and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee production for the studio. The Mummy franchise is set to continue with a new chapter, and fans are eager to see the iconic duo return to the big screen.
